Poiso

Poiso camping area is divided into two sectors: a clearing in the forest around 300 meters from the restaurant “Abrigo do Pastor” and the second about 1 km away. Both areas are located along the road that connects Poiso to Pico Arieiro, this can be troublesome if you want a contact with silence in nature.

The most northern part has two fireplaces where you can make fire and prepare your meals using firewood’s. In the southern area it will only be possible to use gas stove, since there is no fireplaces.

Despite not having any support infrastructure, the restaurant “Casa de Abrigo do Poiso” is quite close. There you can use the toilets and enjoy a snack, a more hearty lunch or a hot drink for the cold nights.
